The decision to move away from perpetual licenses is driven by the belief that the industry has already widely adopted subscription models as the standard for cloud consumption. This transition will unlock key benefits for MWF customers, including:

1. A lower entry price and the ability to pay yearly, leaving customers with a bigger budget to invest in implementation and training. 
2. Faster time to value. By providing customers with immediate access to the latest versions of MWF product enhancements and features, customers can more quickly deploy and leverage new capabilities to drive their business objectives.

No. Existing or new perpetual licences purchased before August 7th, 2024, remain valid.

Customers retain their perpetual software licence and can continue to use it in accordance with their perpetual licence agreement if maintenance is paid annually.

Customers with current maintenance plans will have the option to renew their maintenance plan. The end-of-sale of perpetual licences only impacts the ability to make new purchases of perpetual licences.

Strucsoft has no plans to stop offering maintenance plan renewals. However, it is important to renew the maintenance plan on time to continue to access the benefits.

If a maintenance plan is not renewed on time (within 30 days of invoice received), customers will have to purchase an MWF subscription plan if they want access to the latest features and functionality.

Customers who choose to discontinue their maintenance plan can continue using their perpetual licences but will not benefit from improvements or upgrades in our quarterly build releases.

No. Once Strucsoft discontinues the sale of perpetual licences on August 7th, 2024, customers will only be able to renew maintenance plans for previously purchased perpetual licences. No new perpetual licences may be added to existing maintenance plans after August 7th, 2024. Customers may subscribe to additional Strucsoft products.
